Preschool and Avocados

So on Tuesday a big event in Lexi's life happened............ She started PRESCHOOL! She was really excited and a little nervous, but we talked about everything in detail and reassured her that she would be just fine.

So the first day when I went to drop her off I was a little concerned about her crying, but to my surprise she gave me a hug and a kiss walked in and started playing with the toys. Not a single tear was shed! I have to admit it made me so proud and yet sad that she was OK with me leaving her.

She is so nice and Lexi loves her. She of course has become her little helper! There are all sorts of things they get to do and Lexi was in heaven in art class when she got to make this......

When I picked her up her teacher said "wow she really loves glitter and get enough of it!" Yes she does she is such a girl. I'm glad that she gets to do that at school so I don't have deal with the mess at home! This school thing is working out great for both of us.

Anyway another fun thing they get to do is learn their letters and what words start with that letter. Then the next day they get to do show and tell with something that starts with that letter. So of course it was the first week so the first letter they learned was "A". After going through the list of things that start with an "A" we asked her what she wanted to take for show and tell. And this is what she wanted to take...................

Yes that is right she took an AVOCADO!!! We were dying. The best part was when she told our friends what she was taking she was jumping up and down with a surprised and excited look on her face saying "An avocado YEAH YEAH!!!" I can't even describe how funny it was. She always keeps us laughing and loving life!

All in all it has been a good thing for her to go. She gets to do so many fun things and make new friends. We are so proud of her.
