Lexi is 3!!!

MY BABY GIRL IS 3!!!!!! I can't believe it!

So since this post is about here and her day, I will do it in her color! We had a fabulous time celebrating her birthday! It is a lot of work this whole planning real parties thing with activities, cakes, balloons, friends and party favors! Everything about kids is tiring!

So her birthday was May 6th and she had 2 celebrations. That night we went to "Chuck E. Cheese Cheese" (that is what she calls it) and had cake and played games with her cousins and Popop and Banta (what she calls my mom, no one knows why). It was a good time up until Chuck E. came within 20 feet of her which resulted in sprinting across the room over to my mom and sobbing for a couple of mins. But other than that it was great!

THEN THE BIG DAY CAME................... Her friend party!

What was the theme? Well I'm sure it won't be hard to figure out once you see the pictures.......

The invitations!

Lexi helped me with them and thought they were so cute!

the inside

Our guests party attire!

Conner trying to get in on the action!

Crown - check

Wand- check

Princess shirt- check

Skirt - check

Sparkly shoes- check

LET"S PARTY!

All of our princesses in a row!

Festivities:

#1- Princess walk

Object- Little princessss walk in a circle stepping on pictures of princesses while music is playing. When music stops whoever is standing on chosen princess will receive a prize

Outcome- Pretty good. It took a good 5 mins to get them going in the right direction, but they got it eventually

Problem- Once they figured out the whole prize thing they would just stand on chosen princess and not move!

The Prize!

When I asked Lexi what kind of cake she wanted she said 'A pink princess Barbie one"

And that is what she got!

Isn't she AMAZING! My friend Emily came over and helped me decorate it, and by helped I mean DID decorate it. So I can't take credit for it.

She LOVED it. All the girls DID!

She blew each candle out one at a time! She is so CUTE!

On to the Presents!

Her royal heiness got to open her presents on her throne

Some fancy jewelry! A must for a princess!

Oh ya that's right my friends! The ever so loved hat/hair combo! We were dieing when we saw this. Of course Lexi LOVED it!

Of course her friends were always right there ready to help her open everything , because that is just what good friends do.

Did I mention that their wands were no ordinary wands, they also made bubbles!

You can never go wrong with bubbles and 3 year olds

Meanwhile...... Conner was digging around for something good that Lexi may have forgotten.

all he got was a bag and seemed pretty happy with that!

Maisey was there and we all know (who know her) that it wouldn't be a party with Maisey unless she didn't have her pants off at some point! Her parents are so proud!

AFTER EVERYONE LEFT..................

I let the birthday girl eat her cake (well actually frosting) the way she dreamed of doing it!

She asked me to join her so I took a little nibble

All in All I think it all went pretty well! I feel we lived up to our promises! Lexi came away with

2 new hair pieces

jewelry and a purse

lipstick and nail polish

a coloring/paper doll kit

pom poms

bubbles and sidewalk chalk

I swear it's like they don't even know her! he he

Even though it was a lot of fun we all were Royally POOPED afterward!

Happy birthday Lexi! It looks like you guys had quite a party. I love the invitations and that cake is gorgeous! My mom used to make me Barbie cakes when I was little too. I'm glad it was such a special day!!

I'm so glad that Maisy could get the party started by taking her pants off! Whoo-Hoo! Brett came home just shaking his head. "We've got to teach her not to do that in public." Too late.

That cake was out-of-this-world! You guys are so awesome. Oh, and who gave her the hat/hair pieces. That was perfect! Thanks for inviting Maisy. She had a great time and loved her party favors. Love ya'll!

Happy Birthday Lexi! Looks like a grand ol' time and yes, Maisy is hilarious! And that hat/hair combo is too much...I think you should let her sport it at church sometime. And the wands making bubbles- very fun- when I first saw them I was wondering because they looked a little more like lightsabers than princess wands. hehe

oh, and the cake was awesome! I totally remember having a cake like that when I was a little girl. Too fun!

I want to eat her up like she's eating that cake. Can you send me some, by the way?
