Where do we live again?

Texas- (n) second largest state,

known for big hair, tight jeans, loyal residents of the state, southern hospitality,
everything being bigger and better there and weather patterns that change on a dime

The weather has been great here the past week it was 78 degrees on Saturday! And then............

Today is my Dad's birthday. As part of the celebration we out to dinner. So we began our trek home. There was a flurry of snow which we had been warned about. Then as we got closer and closer to our exit we realized we couldn't hardly see our exit and then the main road was barricaded so we had to take a detour.

Now I know some of you out there may be thinking "Oh you Texans can't even handle a little snow" well I'm here to tell you that that MAY be true so what are we going to to do with A LOT of it!!!

This is what it looked like in our front yard at 9:30 tonight. Lexi loves the snow. She discovered this when we went to Utah this January, so we had to go play in it right away! So just so you don't think I'm exaggerating here is some proof...........

View from our front door

Lexi and Daddy making making snowballs

Lexi throwing the snowball

Our mailbox after Dave took a huge hand full off of it

After some coaxing and letting her know that she could bring a snowball inside here she is eating it. This is a dream come true for her. Ice everywhere for her to eat! She had a good time.

This is definitely going to be a hot blog topic. I know this isn't that weird for those of you who don't live here, but this is definitely not the norm for us. And Dave said there was no reason for me to buy Lexi that adorable coat! HA!

So what have we learned from all of this........... Thank goodness we don't live where it snows all winter!! Dave and I are not snow people unless there is a board strapped to my feet.

We'll let you know how it goes tomorrow!
